MAINE PROPERTY ON DEER ISLE FOR SUMMER RENTAL

The property consists of a House, a separate summer Cottage, and a small garage, all located on 4+ acres in Deer Isle, Maine. The property sleeps six adults (three couples) and two young kids, and can easily accommodate more children on futons. With the ability to spend time all together and separate into different houses, the property is particularly good for multi-generational families, especially those with younger children.

The house has a large deck, is surrounded by water on three sides, and faces west, so one can enjoy sunsets over water. There is a 12-foot tide which comes up within about 30 yards of the house. High tide offers kayaking and paddle boarding from the deck. The house is close to both Deer Isle Village and the historical town of Stonington, ME.

The property is available for rent during the summer season at the following weekly rates: June: $2,200, July: $2,800, August: $3,200. Rates are discounted for multiple week rentals, and a season-long rental is possible. Please email inqueries here.

Location

The property is very private, and tucked away among shady trees with water views on several sides. As the main deck faces west, the sunsets over water are often breathtaking.

The House has large windows facing the water and a wrap-around deck, comfortable sitting and dining areas, and a spacious kitchen. There is a master bedroom with a full bathroom, a second bedroom, second bathroom, and a sun room with a futon. There is Wifi, and thanks to a recent tower, cellular service is reasonably good.

At high tide one can paddleboard and kayak just steps from the deck. At low tide, the water recedes back into the bay, inviting exploration. There is also a small children’s playhouse (or Fort) facing the water, placed to watch for pirate attacks. At the nearby point is a walk out to an island only available when the tide is out.
